Music Review // Jont "All Become One"

 

"All Become One" is this very powerful song about unity and how we must move on from our past in order to go forward.  Jont brings out this sound in such a way that it's full of acoustic melody, so it really seems like everyone will enjoy this on this ears.  It can feel like a cross between The Wallflowers and Coldplay, but overall Jont just finds their own sound within the rock and I think it is truly something which can also bring us together, to agree upon that we enjoy the sound.

This just feels like such a special song because it can unite two people or it could unite the entire world.  The lines: "Now's the time for us to let 'em go / All these shadows that are eating us" can refer to the past that some of us may face going into a new relationship.   Perhaps something happened to you in a past relationship that you feel might happen again.  But this is new, this is different, you must let go of that past in order to move forward.

At the same time, this can also be said for certain countries in this world which might just need to overcome their political differences (often times surrounded by religion).  A lot of what seems to put our society into distress is the history that we just need to let go of to finally move on and live in harmony.   Funny how that can work so well for something so personal such as two people, but yet also on such a larger, global level.

Jont begins this song with the lines: "I just wanna lie down with you / If it's the last thing I do / I don't want a world that hasn't known this / Combination of souls enjoying pure bliss".  This perfectly describes how the song is both about two indviduals but also the world.  Share this with your family, share this with your friends, share this on a personal level, but hopefully if we all do this, it can reach a much larger level and then the whole world can be on the same page.
