Music Review // The Bapti$$ "Crazyglue and Skeletons"
The Bapti$$ has an acoustic sound which borders on pop that not a lot of other artists are using these days. This song feels overall like it could be in the hip hop genre, but in an acoustic way, which might sound strange but it works. This song is like a more pop version of a song by Everlast, but also can be best thought of perhaps as a song by Twenty One Pilots, specifically if you've ever heard them do any of their songs acoustic/live.
The idea behind "Crazyglue and Skeletons" is that The Bapti$$ will "be your crazyglue" and he will do so "til I'm a skeleton and it's through". This song is more than anything else a song about commitment to someone and you don't get a lot of that these days, not just in music but in life in general. Lyrics such as "I'll do everything I can / To save you from yourself / It gets hard every now and then" just show that even through the tough times we've got to stick together.
More than just the idea of staying loyal, The Bapti$$ also explores the notion of what happens when you stray. There are lines "So I battle with every last thing that tempts me / When I give in why do I feel so empty?" and that's just one of those reasons why it's best not to give into those temptations because, yes, it might seem easy but the reward in the end is not as great as having that true love.
You can listen to this song for a number of different reasons. Maybe you've found that life partner you are in love with or maybe you can just think of this song as being about a family member, even a pet if you don't have a family member. But I think not only to be loved but also to love someone is something which we all want at some point in our lives to feel a sense of completion and this song can very well help you find just that.
