Music Review // Rosalie Chilvers "TINY TSHIRTS"

This song begins with a large amount of energy and it never lets up.  The story within this tells of a woman who is dumped by her boyfriend but he still thinks of her.  This means that the woman is putting on a tiny t-shirt and going out to forget about it all.  As the story plays out during the song (through the lyrics) it also does on the screen during the music video.  There is so much energy in this music video that it just makes me want to go out and forget about my troubles.

In a big rock anthem way with guitars up front and group vocals, Rosalie Chilvers has this type of sound which should unite most people after a break up or just if you want to be the supportive friend, as in this video she is with three other women through this.   At one point during the video she even goes to the bathroom and seems to be down, but they help pick her back up.  Sometimes in these situations all we need is that support and not to be alone.

Another aspect I like about this music video is that there is a moment where a guy approaches the women and it just says "offensive pick up line" and he gets told to go away.  If you feel like this is a song that might be more for women empowerment (Though it can be for everyone) and you therefore aren't really feeling the lyrics, at least take something away from the music video as a man.

Between lyrics that will stick with you like "Oh I know I broke your heart but I turned your mess into a work of art" and the energy of this song it just feels like the rock in it can be rooted in pop punk.  At the same time, a lot of the way I think of both this song and music video remind me of Pink- not so much because it sounds exactly the same but just because it's putting out that same sort of feeling.  So whether you're going through it or just need a rush of adrenaline, put this song on and let it ride.
