Music Review // Dreaming Corpse "260108" (Lila Starless)

This album begins with whirring, as if we're trying to start up a spaceship. There are almost barking sounds in here which makes me feel like this is an engine at the racetrack of some kind. It slows down, almost to a stop, but then does pick back up just not as heavy. It's all pretty loud and aggressive now, as if it is swarming. This takes us right into the next song, which has more of a steady riding the wave sound. It can almost make you feel seasick, if you're inclined to feel such ways. It's not that it's droning so much as it's on a loop.
Into lower bass now on the third track, it feels like we're broiling. This can feel earth-shattering, like the ground is just going to open up and swallow us all whole. This carries on like a storm. We're into that wavy back and forth on 4 now, which could cause seasickness again if you happen to be prone to such things. It's just that slow back and forth rocking feeling. And it goes off into just this deep grinding now. It feels like we're just sawing away. A slow engine drone now on the last song. We get a little bit of that metal detector sound, but this whole album has been somewhere between going on a drive and a storm, but at times maybe it's both.
